EASTWEST SWEEPS MAJOR AWARDS FROM VISA
EastWest Bank clinched eight awards in the recently-concluded 2013 Visa Performance Awards held recently at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati for its Classic Credit, Debit and Prepaid Cards. The bank won seven out of 19 core product awards given to card payment solutions.
For three years in a row, the EastWest Classic Credit Card has been named “Best Performer Visa Classic Payment Volume Growth in the Philippines.” It was also declared “Best Performer Visa Classic Cards in Force Growth in the Philippines” and “Best Performer Visa Classic Transaction Number Growth in the Philippines” for two years in a row. EastWest is currently the fifth largest in the industry in terms of credit card receivables.
The EastWest Debit Card was awarded “Best Performer Visa Debit Cards in Force Growth in the Philippines” and “Best Performer Visa Debit Transaction Number Growth in the Philippines” for two consecutive years. It was also named “Best Performer Visa Debit Payment Volume Growth in the Philippines” for 2013.
The EastWest Prepaid Card was also “Best Performer Visa Prepaid Transaction Number Growth in the Philippines” for 2013. The EastWest Travel Money, the first multi-currency prepaid card in southeast Asia, was awarded the “2013 Visa Product Trailblazer” for its outstanding performance with its total cards-in-force growing by 336% since launch in September 2013 and its purchase volume increasing by 1,023% to date.

Aside from being cashless payment solutions, the EastWest Visa credit, debit and prepaid cards can be used to receive remittances from Australia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, Ukraine, USA, UAE and Kenya.
