EastWest Visa Classic Credit Card honored with three awards: 2012 Best Performer in Visa Classic Cards in Force Growth in the Philippines, 2012 Best Performer in Visa Classic Transaction Number Growth in the Philippines and 2012 Best Performer in Visa Classic Payment Volume Growth in the Philippines. Receiving the awards on behalf of EastWest were Mr. Sandro L. Villaraza, FVP & Head of the Card Marketing & Merchants Division, Ms. Jackie S. Fernandez, EVP & Head of the Consumer Lending Cluster and Mr. Joel M. Mercado, SAVP & Head of Usage & Merchant Marketing under the Card Marketing & Merchants Division. The awards were presented by Mr. Iain Jamieson, Visa Country Manager for the Philippines and Guam (leftmost) and Mr. Peter Maher, Visa Group Country Manager for Southeast Asia & Australasia.

EASTWEST RECEIVES FIVE DISTINCTIONS FROM VISA

EastWest, one of the fastest-growing banks in the country today, scored big in the 2012 Visa Performance Awards held last July 4, 2013 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.

For its EastWest Visa Classic Credit Card variant, the Bank received the following awards: 2012 Best Performer in Visa Classic Cards in Force Growth in the Philippines, 2012 Best Performer in Visa Classic Transaction Number Growth in the Philippines and 2012 Best Performer in Visa Classic Payment Volume Growth in the Philippines.The latter was also received by the Bank for 2011.

EastWest Credit Cards currently ranks fifth in the industry in terms of total cards-in-force and account receivables.

Meanwhile, the Bank also received two citations for its EastWest Visa Debit Card: 2012 Best Performer in Visa Debit Transaction Number Growth in the Philippines and the 2012 Best Performer in Visa Debit Cards in Force Growth in the Philippines.

Aside from being able to shop and dine cashless, EastWest Visa Debit Cardholders, through the Visa Personal Payments Program, can also receive remittances to their debit cards deposit account from over 20 countries including Australia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Ukraine, U.S., U.A.E. and Kenya.
