The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society Philippines named EastWest Peso Intermediate Term Bond Fund the winner of the 2017 Best Managed Fund for Peso Medium-Term Bond category.
The recognition was given during the 2017 Best Managed Fund of the Year Awards held recently at the SMX Convention Center Manila in conjunction with the 3rd Philippine Junior Finance and Investment Summit. Now on its second year, the Best Managed Fund of the Year Awards recognize high-performing funds open to the public, based on their five-year risk-adjusted returns. It is organized by CFA Society Philippines, an association of local investment professionals, in collaboration with the Fund Managers Association of the Philippines and the Trust Officers Association of the Philippines with the aim of helping investors make sound investment decisions while encouraging fund managers to practice the highest standards of ethics and investment excellence in managing investable funds.
EastWest Peso Intermediate Term Bond Fund was also recognized at last year's awarding as second place in the same category.
