  • valid ID with photo and signature

Terms and Conditions

  1. Opening an EastWest savings account via EasyWay Expanded Transaction Channel (“EasyWay”) is available to individual Filipinos currently residing in the Philippines who do not have an existing EastWest deposit account. For joint and/or accounts, foreigners, non-resident Filipinos, and corporate accounts, please visit an EastWest store/branch to open an account. For existing EastWest depositors, please call or visit your store of account.
  2. EasyWay is available for the following EastWest savings accounts:
    • Regular Savings with Debit Card – comes with a free EastWest Visa Prepaid Card, exclusive to EasyWay
    • Passbook Savings
    • Passbook Savings with Debit Card
    • Peso SuperSaver
    • Kiddie Savings
    • US Dollar Savings
    • US Dollar SuperSaver (available in Metro Manila stores/branches).

  3. Applications received on or before 2pm on a regular banking day will be processed on the same day. Applications received beyond the 2PM cut-off time will be processed on the next banking day.
  4. correspondences will be made via email. Please check your email regularly to see updates and status of account opening application. You will receive an email from EastWest for any clarifications, additional information or requirements needed to process your application.
  5. You will receive an email confirmation from your preferred EastWest store/branch upon availability of your EastWest debit card and/or passbook for pick-up.
  6. Please visit the EastWest store/branch upon receipt of email confirmation and present the following documents submitted during application:
    • original ID/s
    • original proof of billing
  7. An initial deposit will be required during your store/branch visit to complete the account opening process and release of your debit card and/or passbook, as follows

    Regular Savings with Debit Card₱ 2,000 in cash
    Passbook Savings₱ 5,000 in cash
    Passbook Savings with Debit Card₱ 5,000 in cash
    Peso SuperSaver₱ 500,000 in cash/check
    Kiddie Savings₱ 2,000 in cash
    US Dollar SavingsUS$ 200 in cash

  8. You must visit the EastWest store/branch within 30 calendar days from receipt of email confirmation; otherwise, your account will be cancelled, and the cards will be immediately destroyed.
  9. By using EasyWay, you agree to the terms and conditions of the EastWest Bank Data Privacy Statement. You fully understand and agree that email transmissions (especially where there is no encryption) are not a secure medium and cannot be guaranteed to be free from virus or error and consequently, such email transmissions could be corrupted, destroyed, intercepted, lost, incomplete or otherwise be adversely affected or unsafe to use. You agree that EastWest, including its affiliates, subsidiaries, shareholders, officers, employees and agents, will not be held liable for any action, proceeding, liability, claim, damage, costs, losses or expenses arising, directly or indirectly, out of the bank accepting, transmitting or executing email transmissions.
  10. EastWest reserves the right to reject, suspend, cancel or terminate your account/application to open a deposit account, and you agree to hold us completely free and harmless from any and all liabilities, claims and demands arising from the suspension or termination of the account/application.
